USING PVP PIPES OR BROOMSTICKS- PLACE THEM INTO THE TREES AND AGAINST THE WHEEL AXLE- MEASURE TOTAL LENGTH. [ HOW TO TUNE THE PRELOAD IS WELL DESCRIBED ON PAGE. 5’ HIGHER- THAT WILL BE NEGATED BY APPROPRIATELY TUNED SUSPENSION WHEN THE BIKE COMPRESSES WITH IT OWN WT THE FORK ABOUT 1”. PLACE BLOCKS OF WOOD UNDER THE FRAME SO IT LEVELS AT DESIRED CLEARANCE, ACTUALY I WOULD SET THE FRONT A BIT, LET’S SAY. THEN MOCKUP FRAME+ WHEEL AND, IDEALLY IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE TREE. START WITH THIS CALCULATOR RB Racing Fork Length and Trail Calculator So the question is which length should I choose? 35' or 37'? I need to use tripple tree with 3 degrees rake to have correct trail If I add 1' for tripple tree and 1' for compression I'll get the length of tubes 35', if 1.5' for tripple tree and 1.5' for copression I'll get 36' (37' fork, 4'over) (1-1.5') and 1-1.5' for compression (as I read on chopperhandbook) Am I right? Then I need to add here the width of the tripple tree I've measured distanse from top of my steering neck to the centre of the wheel. So I'm sorry if I write something not correct I'll try to explain what I mean, but English is not my native language I'm building my first bike and have a problem with choosing the length of fork tubes.
